Who runs this tool

Rankpin is run by Vasudev Prabhakar Kale, an individual trading as ReelEngine, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Questions and requests: hello@reelengine.in. Rankpin is one of ReelEngine's tools; the rest of reelengine.in is covered by ReelEngine's privacy page.

What you give us

• The Google Maps link or business name you type. We send it to Google to find the listing.
• Anything you type into the boxes on the page (your description, services, posts, website address, timings). This is checked inside your own browser. It is not sent to us.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, email address or Google password, and there is no account to create. If you pay for a full report, the payment page asks for what it needs to take the payment.

What we fetch

• The public Google listing for the business you asked about, and the public listings of nearby businesses in the same category: name, category, address, phone, website, timings, rating, review count and a few public reviews. This comes from Google Maps Platform and is fetched fresh each time. We do not keep a copy.
• The home page of the website on the listing, to check that it opens and matches the listing.

What is stored, and where

• In your browser only: the listings you have checked (Google's ID for each, the words you typed, the date and our score), which steps you have finished, and, if you paid, a code that keeps that listing unlocked for 30 days. You can remove a listing with the Remove button, or clear everything by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• On our server: nothing about your checks is saved. Your internet address is held in memory for up to a day, only to stop one visitor running an excessive number of checks.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are opened, roughly where visitors are and how they reached the site. It sets cookies. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. What you type into the tool is not sent to Google Analytics. There are no advertising trackers on this site.

Who else receives data

• Google, which receives the search you make through us, and the visit counts described above. Google's own privacy policy applies to that: policies.google.com/privacy.
• Razorpay, if you pay for a full report. Razorpay collects your payment details and whatever contact details it asks for; we never see your card, UPI or bank details. We receive a payment reference, the amount and Google's ID for the listing you unlocked. Razorpay's privacy policy: razorpay.com/privacy.
• Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which runs the server.

We do not sell or share data with anyone else.

You can use the tool without giving any personal details. To ask what we hold or to have it removed, write to hello@reelengine.in. If you are in India and are not satisfied with our reply, you may contact our grievance officer, Vasudev Prabhakar Kale, at hello@reelengine.in.
